Hot Zone Hunter Badge

Hot Zone Hunter is a boost to your shooting percentage when taking any type of shot from a hot zone. Your hot zones are based on your most recent 50 park games played. The percentages you need are different between 2s and 3s but for 3s to become a hot zone you need to shoot 40% or higher.

Hot Zone Hunter allows shots that are taken in a player's' hot zone(s) to be given a boost.

NBA 2k22 Should I use Hot Zone Hunter?

Testing Hot Zone Hunter was actually quite simple since we had just completed testing Hot Zones and were able to reuse that script exactly. We took 200 shots at every 10 mS for a 60mS window for a 1200 shot sample.

The graph below shows the results of this test and make it clear that slightly early and slightly late shots will see the biggest benefit from using hot zone hunter.
