Giant Slayer boosts the shot peprcentage for a layup attempt when mismatched against a taller defender and reduces the possibility of getting blocked.

To test the Giant Slayer badge we took 200 contested layups against a defender that was 4 inches taller. We recorded the difference in make percentage at each badge level.

Do I need Giant Slayer?

This badge is pretty good for preventing blocks on contested layups but you need to factor in the number of players it will activate against. If you are 6'5 it will only activate against 6'9+ while 5'10 PGs will see a much higher return.
