Downhill is a boost to your overall speed with ball in transition but activating the badge can be delayed and the speed boost associated with the badge can be triggered manually.
Downhill Badge Description
Downhill gives a bonus to a player’s Speed With Ball attribute in fastbreak situations.

NBA 2k22 Should I use Downhill?
To test downhill we recorded the amount of time, in frames, that it took to run from the hash to half court. We looked at this as a measurement of top running speed directly after triggering the badge.

Do I need Downhill in 2k22?
If you play ProAm and are out in front of the fast break a lot then yes. In park it is a good option for hunting 3s in transition as well. However, there are a lot of better playmaking badge options out there and we typically advise skipping this one.
