Chef Badge

Chef badge was updated in the season 2 patch to change the way it activates.

Our first goal with the Chef badge in 2k22 was to figure out exactly how to activate Chef reliably. This video has all the details on how to use Chef, including how to trigger chef consistently and how far to shoot for Chef. The Chef content is the 2nd half of this video.

We will be writing an automated script to run sample tests for Chef Badge in the future. Look for that video soon.

Chef Badge Description

Chef gives a boost to the range that a player can effectively shoot off-the-dribble three point attempts.

Bronze 1	64 3pt Shot
Silver 3	74 3pt Shot
Gold 5	85 3pt Shot
Gold 4	87 3pt Shot
HoF 6	96 3pt Shot
HoF 5	98 3pt Shot

NBA 2k22 Top Shooting Badges: Chef

To trigger the Chef Badge in NBA 2k22 you must follow the following NBA 2k22 Chef Rules:

2 seconds must pass from your most recent pass caught
You must be moving around for at least .5 seconds. This can be Sprinting, Jogging or walking.
You must be in limitless range when the shot is taken, you do not have to do all the dribbling in limitless range
As of the season 2 patch chef will now activate on pull up and fading 3s as well.

As of season 2 the following badges will no longer stack with chef.

Stop and Pop
Rhythm Shooter

This process is easier to understand if you watch the video on this page. The video is especially helpful for understanding how far from the basket the necessary 30 foot Chef Distance is. Triggering the Chef Badge works the same on both gens.
